Progressive Manufacturing Awards
The Progressive Manufacturing Awards program
recognizes manufacturing companies that have
clearly demonstrated mastery of one or more of
eight disciplines that will be keys to the
success and prosperity of manufacturing
companies in the coming years.
"The Progressive Manufacturing idea has
captured the spirit of an industry that is in
the throes of dramatic change," says David R.
Brousell, Editor-in-Chief of Managing
Automation and a Progressive Manufacturing
judge. "Innovation, invention, and new ways of
thinking about the business of manufacturing are
picking up steam everywhere. The expansion of
the Progressive Manufacturing Awards Program
pays tribute to this important trend."

Manufacturing Business Technology 2008
Innovation Insights Award
Incuity Software receives Honorable Mention
in the Product Category of the Manufacturing
Business Technology 2008 Innovation Insights
Awards. Spotlighting two companies who turned to
Incuity Software for Enterprise Manufacturing
Intelligence (EMI) solutions, MBT noted that
Incuity’s solution converts production data into
actionable intelligence.
International Paint
International Paint needed more capacity to
handle its growing business and sought ways
to improve productivity or face the need to
expand. By implementing end-to-end
operations analysis and adopting EMI
solutions offered by Incuity Software, the
company dramatically reduced the process
cycle times and increased overall output,
thus eliminating an entire production shift.
Hexion Specialty Chemicals
Hexion Specialty Chemicals sought help from
Incuity Software with gathering and sharing
data for real-time feeds to reports and KPI
dashboards. This initial implementation
netted a first-year savings of $300,000,
leading to a planned rollout to the 100-plus
facilities worldwide.
"Incuity's value is in providing a visual
unification layer through an underlying data
model — its secret sauce," says Alison
Smith, a director with Boston-AMR Research.
"The ease with which it can be created and
extended is phenomenal. Its connectivity
power distinguishes it from other products."
